Shopping Night Owl is a browser extension that explains what Amazon's delivery-date estimates mean when you are shopping late at night. This policy describes what the extension does and does not do with data.

Summary

The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no servers, no analytics, no accounts, and makes no network requests.

What the extension accesses

The extension runs only on Amazon storefront pages (amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.com.au, amazon.ie, amazon.in, amazon.sg, amazon.ae). On those pages it reads the delivery-estimate text that Amazon already displays, such as "FREE delivery Tomorrow, September 8" or "Order within 6 hrs 9 mins", and inserts an explanatory note beneath it. This reading happens entirely inside your browser. The text is never sent anywhere or retained.

Settings

Your preferences (whether the extension is enabled, when notes are shown, your usual bedtime and wake-up time, and an optional testing time) are saved with Chrome's storage.sync API. This keeps them in your own Chrome profile and, if you are signed in to Chrome, syncs them between your devices through your Google account. The extension's author has no access to these values.

What the extension does not do

• It does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, purchase history, or page content.
• It does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
• It does not communicate with any server, including the author's.
• It does not run on any site other than the Amazon storefronts listed above.

Third-party links

The settings popup and this website contain a link to the author's Ko-fi page. Following that link takes you to ko-fi.com, which has its own privacy policy. The extension itself never contacts Ko-fi.

Changes

If the extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date revised before the change ships.
